Yes, it's June 17th tomorrow. Not only do we have the new 3.0 version of the iPhone firmware but also the update to Apple's MobileMe service.
iPhone 3.0 features loads of new features like cut+copy+paste, turn-by-turn 'sat-nav' support, and the ability to search your entire iPhone. There are also lots of cool little tweaks, like the ability to put the native iPhone apps into landscape mode, granting a bigger keyboard.
MobileMe (formerly known as .Mac and iTools) was launched on 9th July 2008. Since then it has had mixed reviews from Mac and Windows users. It didn't help that in the first few week of launch, users couldn't access their emails through the web-based service.
The new updates to MobileMe include two powerful iPhone based features; Remote-Wipe and Locate my iPhone. In the words of Apple's Phil Schiller, "Microsoft Exchange for the rest of us."
An exciting time for all!

The iPhone 3.0 software has been leaked as a Torrent download, just 2 days before the official release from Apple on June 17th.
I wouldn't worry about rushing to download it just yet! Sit back, take a breath, and wait a few more days...

Managed to get a nice seat in the first caridge of the 8.06 Gatwick Express.
Fairly empty today. Will be interesting to see if there is any more Tube strike action planned for this week.
